Well, I'm back from Minnesota, but it's too late.  I'll post more later, including my trip to Baudette, Minnesota, where I left the light on for you.  For now, enjoy this picture from the best little funeral home south of Canada, north of Iowa, west of Wisconsin, and east of whichever Dakota that is.

P.S.  I turn 24 on Tuesday.

So this is what 24 feels like.  Holy crap what a difference.  Anyway, on with the show...

You may have noticed that updates here have slowed down.  That's because I'm spending more time working on Snarbles, and also finishing COLLEGE.  So yeah, I'm a little busy.  I've noticed that a bunch of the links on this page have expired, and you know what?  I'm okay with that.  I'll get around to cleaning them out someday.

It's 4:33am, and do you know what I'm supposed to be doing right now?  Well, besides sleeping.  I am supposed to be studying for my French 102 final, but holy carp that is boring.  I've always had the philosophy that if I don't know it the day before the test, I am not going to know it the day of the test.  Some philosophy that is.  Sean take college for five years.  Instead, I have spent the past few hours doing nothing at all productive.  Of course, if I go to bed, then I will feel very worthless.

4:47am.  I'm not at all worried about this final.  I could do it in Latvian and still pass the class with a high grade.

4:53am.  In other news, if you didn't already know it, I am moving to Lawrence, Kansas, at the end of this month.  If you need to reach me, drop me an e-mail, and I will be sure to update you on my new address and phone number in Kansas.

5:06am.  Nothing really else to say right now.  Maybe I'll go into the other room and catalog my collection of old episodes of Webster.  That would keep me occupied for the next 2 hours.

5:17am.  Go visit Snarbles, and then laugh.  In that order.

In honor of Andy's 60-second movie summaries ("inspired" by Movie-A-Minute), here is my summary of "Changing Lanes," which I just saw at the dollar theater:

BEN AFFLECK

I'm a good guy

SAMUEL L. JACKSON

Me too.

BEN AFFLECK

Oops we had a car accident.

SAMUEL L. JACKSON

Ok I'm not such a nice guy

BEN AFFLECK

Hey, me neither

(They STRUGGLE back and forth)

BEN AFFLECK

Ok, so we're both nice guys.

SAMUEL L. JACKSON

Dude, where are our cars?

"Do you ever look to the sky and think, I'm glad I'm alive?  After I heard System of a Down, I thought, I'm actually alive to hear the sh*ttiest band of all time.  Which is really quite something, when you think about it.  Of all the bands that have gone before and all the bands that'll be in the future, I was around when the worst was around."
-Noel Gallagher, in MAXIM magazine, August 2002

Packing continues, 6 days left...

I found this picture while I was going through my file cabinet.  It came from a frame at the half price store.  I didn't buy the frame, I just took the picture.  It made me do a double-take, because at first, I thought it was a tall blonde lady wearing all white that was holding some short naked guy with backwards legs.

Still packing, 3 days to go

Well, Iowa, it's been fun. Wait, no it hasn't.

It is 6:27pm on Sunday, July 28th, 2002, and I am signing off in Ames.  I am just about to tear down my computer and box it up, so the next time this website is updated, it will be from my new home in Kansas.

To all my regular contacts, this also applies to e-mail.  If you would like to reach me between now and sometime in early August, you can call my cell phone, which should still be working until I get a new number down there.  I will be in Des Moines from July 31st until August 4th, so if you know my parents' home phone number, you can reach me that way, too.

Anyway, to all the people I met while in Ames, thanks for making it at least, well, tolerable.  Once Sonja and I are settled in, we'll have a get-together or something.  Or maybe we'll just take lots of pictures so you can pretend you are there.

So, take care everyone, we'll talk again real soon. -S

In the meantime, visit Snarbles.com, and laugh your arms off.
