So the big news around here lately is that my interview at KCTV on Monday went pretty well, and I got the job, and I am once again a member of the workforce.

Four months without a job was interesting. On the one hand, I had tons of free time to do things like sleep, mess around with and subsequently break my website, some sleeping, quickly redesign my entire site, sleep a little more, eat a lot of things that are bad for me way too much, drink some beer, sleep, oversleep, undersleep, break faucets, step in cat vomit, kill time on the internet, kill brain cells with some more beer, sleep, play lots of video games, watch all four seasons of The Sopranos, sleep in, draw some things, pet my cat, eat milkshakes, shower at night, put up with stupid neighbors, not put up with stupid neighbors and call the police on them, read newspaper, sleep in, sleep out on the couch, buy dumb things on eBay, sell dumb people on eBay, drive around, fall asleep, learn a new language, okay not really, catch up on sleep, discover new music, sell crappy old music, download things and stuff, chat online with friends, become a frequent contributor on several online forums but not my own, watch tv dating shows, yell at tv talk shows, sleep over, learn how to broil steaks, learn what an ulcer feels like, get another root canal, adjust to living with a roommate, adjust to living with a female, and adjust to living during the daytime hours. Plus I slept some, too.

On the other hand-- I forgot what I was going to say here.

Well, I'm back. Five days, four states, two birthdays, and 1500 miles later, I'm glad to be back home. Nothing too eventful to report from the last few days, except that I have an interview at KCTV on Monday. KCTV is a CBS affiliate in Lenexa, about 35 minutes from here via K-10. I don't mind the commute, though.

On a somewhat related note, Sonja and I have decided that we are going to move to Overland Park as soon as we are able. OP is a suburb of Kansas City about 25-30 minutes west of Lawrence, which should make life easier for both of us, as Sonja will be working and attending school in Overland Park. We still like Lawrence, but I think that we are too old for this college town. Yeesh. We are old.

While at home for Thanksgiving, I managed to spend some time with my friend Ethan and his younger brothers Aaron and Adam. If you guys are reading this, I stand by everything I said last night, and if you are ever in the KC area, look me up. (Except for Ethan. You've gotten kind of strange, buddy.)

11.25.02 12:00am: Sean finds work. Sort of.

This morning, I "worked" as an extra in a commercial shoot for "Set 'Em Up Jack's," a pub/restaurant-type place here in Lawrence. To summarize, it was the best time I've had high-fiving a guy walking on a bar in a chicken costume. No lie.

On Tuesday, I'm heading home for the Thanksgiving, so this site won't be updated until early December. I may or may not be able to receive e-mail while I'm gone, so if you need to contact me, try my cell phone (unless your name rhymes with "bonfires").

The same applies for Snarbles. As soon as I finish this update, I'm going to update Snarbles and be done with it until next month.

Just so you can't say I don't give you anything, here is a picture of Bigfoot jumping over an airplane:
